Superleggera is a 70 kg lighter and 10 hp stronger version of the Lamborghini Gallardo with a modified chassis. The front has been reduced a bit compared to a standard Gallardo. on the tailgate just after the large, transparent engine cover, sits a large, fixed rear wing of carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is in many respects a wonderful material, both lighter and stronger than steel. Lamborghini has a lot of experience with this black fabric and has now teamed with Boeing aircraft factory core to further developed the expensive material. And if you look at the amount of carbon fiber in a Superleggera, you understand why.
The rims are magnesium and provides a weight saving of not less than 13 kg compared with alloy wheels, a LP560-4 rolls on. Inside the cabin is the most superfluous of equipment thrown out, although it is still possible to book a Superleggera with great navigation. And now that Lamborghini cares about even such minor details to save weight, I consider if I should have skipped breakfast over to help. It had gained an extra 400 grams in weight.
