Lamborghini Murciélago

The Murciélago ( Murciélago is the Spanish name for the bat )  is the successor for Diablo and has been in production since 2001. They stopped the production in 2010.  The Murciélago was introduced as a coupe in 2001, succeeding the famed Diablo supercar in Lamborghini's lineup. The car was the automaker's first new design in eleven years, as well as the first under the ownership of German automaker Audi. It was styled by Peruvian-born Belgian Luc Donckerwolke, Lamborghini's head of design from 1998 to 2005. With its V12 engine it gives a indescribable sound, more brutal and raw than its "baby brother" Gallardo ( which only has a V10 ), but does it make any difference? Some people think, yeah okay it have a 72hp ( Information taken from the old engine ) more than we have in the Gallardo, but it also weighs 200 kg more! The Murciélago is still  faster and named after a fighting bull that survived 28 sword strokes in 1879.

In March 2006, Lamborghini presented a new version of the Murciélago at the Geneva Motor Show ( the Murciélago LP640 ). The new designation accompanying the car's name indicated the engine's position and orientation within the car, and referenced the V12 engine's uprated power output: with its displacement increased to 6.5 litres, the engine in the new car made 631hp at 8000 rpm. The Murciélago's exterior received a minor facelift, with revised front and rear fascias and side air intakes. A new exhaust system is shaped into the rear diffuser, and the left-hand side air intake is enlarged to accommodate the oil cooler. A revised suspension , a launch control system, and an all whell drive system round out the performance modifications. A new 6-speed "E-gear" sequential automatic transmission became available as well. It´s cost  $318,800 in the USA.

The development of a successor to the Murciélago has been widely speculated in the motoring press, as the supercar approaches the end of its first decade in production. Spy photos published on the internet in January 2010 showed a camouflaged Lamborghini prototype undergoing winter testing. The car is expected to be called the LP 700-4 Aventador, and will use an all-new V12 engine.

Gallardo Superleggera

Superleggera is a 70 kg lighter and 10 hp stronger version of the Lamborghini Gallardo with a modified chassis. The front has been reduced a bit compared to a standard Gallardo. on the tailgate just after the large, transparent engine cover, sits a large, fixed rear wing of carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is in many respects a wonderful material, both lighter and stronger than steel. Lamborghini has a lot of experience with this black fabric and has now teamed with Boeing aircraft factory core to further developed the expensive material. And if you look at the amount of carbon fiber in a Superleggera, you understand why.
The rims are magnesium and provides a weight saving of not less than 13 kg compared with alloy wheels, a LP560-4 rolls on. Inside the cabin is the most superfluous of equipment thrown out, although it is still possible to book a Superleggera with great navigation. And now that Lamborghini cares about even such minor details to save weight, I consider if I should have skipped breakfast over to help. It had gained an extra 400 grams in weight.

Lamborghini Gallardo

Are you one of those who consider to buy a Gallardo? why wait. Only 10,033 are produced, even  the Italian police had 2 before they destroyed one of them, the accident occurred in the northern city of Cremona. The Gallardo has been produced since 2003 and is still in production, but however, the price is in the high end, but what does it when it still is one of audience's favorites? I don´t know any who can resist the Bull when it hurtles past on the freeway, with its V10 gives it a indescribable sound, no doubt.

Lamborghini Gallardo´s design is also one of the things that makes it remembered. The Gallardo offers two choices of transmissions, a conventional six-speed  manual transmission, and an advanced six-speed electro-hydraulic controlled semi-automatic robotized manual, which Lamborghini abbreviates to "E-gear". The "E-gear" allows the driver to make shifts much faster than a manual transmission would. The driver shifts up and down via paddles behind the steering wheel, but it also has an automatic mode.
